D IS FOR DANCE!!!
This column will be over the coming months a window into the underground, a music fanatic’s opinion with a twist breaking dance music down into the four hottest genres of the moment…..house, electro, techno and breaks.

Starting with house where else could we begin but Ibiza. Not just the 18-30 glowstick nightmare weve all come to hear about but still very much a hot bed of new nights and talent with Space still kicking it as the house head’s No 1. What most caught my eye this summer would have to be Shminky & Monkey the ‘Dirty Rotten DJs’ ruling Ibiza’s underground with their residency at Bar M and their now infamous Slut parties making Sunday daytimes in San Antonio just about as unholy as possible.
My top 5 house tracks this summer…
1. Bar BQ - ‘Myself’ - Superfreq Records
One of those basslines you just can’t seem to get out of your head.
2. Sharam Jey - ‘Push Your Body' - Underwater Records
Gets the best dancefloor reactions, booty shakin’ baaadness.
3. Emmanuel featuring Nate James - 'Pretend’ - White Label
Best mix for me is the dub, grooving and deep just how house should be.
4. Kai vs Kered - ‘Believe’ - Azuli Records
Big hit with the ladies, pure magic from azuli, 4 hot mixes – all good.
5. Crowd Theory - ‘Reality’ - White Label
Fat bassline with spoken dialogue, deep and thaught provoking.
Big thanks to Rob Marmot of Miss Moneypennys for promos…
